“Marketing is not just getting the word out anymore. Marketing in many ways is about the entire experience from start to finish, because if someone hears about a restaurant on ‘DoorDash’ per se, they place an order and because the restaurant doesn’t have integrated technology they miss it, right? That customer is going to have a terrible customer experience and decide not to order there again, and so understanding these technologies and working with companies that understand them well enough to integrate them and actually take advantage of the simplicity that technology can bring, I think is a really key component in marketing today.”
